"To me, giving is one thing...but giving back is most important. Fighting for a gold medal is not even close to the courage one has to endure to fight for your life. These people are my true heroes."
- Donovan Bailey
July 27, 1996 - Atlanta, Georgia -- A day and place that will live in Canadian Olympic history. This was the day that Donovan Bailey won the 100m gold medal and the title as “the World’s Fastest Man”.
Two decades have passed since that incredible achievement and Bailey continues to sprint around the world spreading his inspiring messages and raising charitable dollars through various philanthropic avenues.
Canadian Olympic Broadcaster Rod Black of TSN will host the event at the historic National Club in downtown Toronto which will feature a candid one-on-one conversation with Donovan, a uniquely personalized live auction, a priceless commemorative gift to all who attend, and of course a spectacular lunch. Proceeds from this event will benefit The Donovan Bailey Foundation.
